How to Make Peeps Fondue

This sugary marshmallow treat can be enjoyed for any special occasion or sleepover. Have fun dunking this easy dessert.



Makes 1 cup of dipping sauce


Ingredients



  • 1/3 cup (6 tablespoons) butter

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1/3 cup evaporated milk

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


Steps



  1. Add the butter to a saucepan. Melt it over a low heat.

  2. Add the cocoa to the saucepan and stir into the melted butter.

  3. Pour in the milk and sugar. Stir at a constant motion for 3 minutes or wait until the sugar has completely dissolved.

  4. Let the chocolate sauce thicken and get a "shiny" texture.

  5. Turn off the heat and remove the saucepan from the stove.

  6. Measure and pour the vanilla into the saucepan.

  7. Transfer the chocolate sauce into a small dipping container. You can also use a solid measuring cup. Place the cup on a serving or tea plate.

  8. Stick skewers in the peeps. Arrange the peeps around the cup.

  9. Finished.

  • Fondue cup (or measuring cup)

  • Tea or serving plate

  • Skewers (cut in half if too long)

  • Saucepan

  • Wooden spoon

  • Peeps
