- Go to http://ift.tt/1GM34ok in a web browser. You can use any web browser, such as Chrome or Safari, to create a Slack team.
- Enter your email address and click . Slack will send a confirmation code to your email address that you must enter on the next screen.
- Enter the confirmation code. It’s in the email from Slack. Once the code is entered correctly, you’ll automatically arrive at the next page.
- Type your name into the “Full name” field.
- Enter a Display Name. This is the name that appears next to your messages in Slack. People can also tag your display name to get your attention.
- Click .
- Type a password. This is the code you’ll use to sign in to your new workspace.
- Click .
- Fill out the “Tell us about your team” form. To answer each question, click the drop-down menu and select the best answer.
- Click .
- Enter your company name. The name you enter will be the title of your new Slack workspace.
- Click .
- Enter your desired team URL. Your team’s URL will look like yourteam.slack.com, however the “.slack.com” part is already filled in. Type only the first part of the URL into the box.
- Click . A confirmation message will appear.
- Click . Your workspace is now created.
- Send invitations to your team members. If you’d rather do this later, click Skip for Now. Otherwise, type the email address of 1-3 teammates into the boxes, then click Send Invitations.
