How to Always Show Captions on YouTube

YouTube subtitles can help you to understand a video very easily. This wikiHow will teach you how to enable the “Always show captions” feature on YouTube.

  1. Log into your YouTube account. Open www.youtube.com on your desktop browser and log in with your account.

  2. Open the “Settings”. Click on your profile picture at the top-right corner of the page and select from the drop-down menu.

  3. Navigate to the settings. It will be the third option in the left panel. Click on it to explore the settings.

  4. Move to the “Captions” header. Check the “Always show captions” box to enable the feature.

  5. Save your changes. Click on the button to apply your changes. You will see the “Your changes were saved.” message. That's it!
